About Malia Mazzei
After having obtained my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 1996, I added four certifications to deepen my knowledge. I was an independent Certified Personal Trainer in Bellevue for over a decade. Then, I added my Level-V Pilates Certification from Balance Within Movement Studio in 2001. This certification includes
all the equipment and beginning through advanced mat.
In 2014 I completed a 400+ hour Craniosacral Therapy (CST) license from Craniosacral Rhythms and an additional 650+ hour Licensed Massage Practioner (LMP) license from Bellevue Massage School in 2019. I now offer Craniosacral Therapy and/or Pilates within a private setting in Bellevue Washington.
I would like to think I have given every sport a shot along with every injury. In turn, this has given me the opportunity to work with local Pelvic, Thoracic, Physical Therapy, Craniosacral, Acupuncture, and Massage Specialists to recover and reclaim my optimal health.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, have weaknesses or imbalances in your body, or looking to find an activity to keep you strong as you age, Pilates and/or Craniosacral Therapy can be positively advantageous. Pilates is challenging, yet safe form of exercise, that balances well with recovery, prevention, post-surgery, or injuries using strength and balancing of core muscles. Craniosacral Therapy is vital in improving function to the central nervous system in relieving pain and increasing mobility. With over 25 years of professional training, assisting Eastside corporate fitness centers, and Puget Sound physical therapy clinics, I have now come to enjoy running a small studio in downtown Bellevue for the past 20+ years.
I have acquired a large tool belt of exercise modalities to help you achieve your goals. Each body is different in its structure and movement experience, that I find it notably rewarding to take each individual to their desired next level. Pilates and craniosacral bodywork can be remarkably rehabilitative, and this is why I keep a private personalized setting at my studio.
My movement activities include Pilates, yoga, hiking, walking, interval running, rollerblading, snowboarding, and wake-boarding. Movement is life, so whatever you decide to do, keep moving, and be kind to your body!
